this weekend was spent doing absolutely nothing.
when i say nothing, obviously, i mean watching all the harry potter movies & going to costco.
that's about it.
we barely made it to church, and still slept for half of the day yesterday.
oh, we gave koda a haircut (we cut her "frompadore," as we call it, a few days ago. she looked like a clown with her bald head and huge ears, so after a bout of laughter we decided on a full-body cut.) and made no-bake drop cookies.
we didn't have any cocoa, as the recipe calls for, so we used hot chocolate.
i'm proud to say that it actually works just fine.
we also got a new bag of madame edamame and have been chowing down.
boy how we love that stuff.
and, once, again, i've lost the motivation to do my hair.
it is now set in a pile atop my head.
as i've heard one say, embrace messy hair.
and i do, daily.
anyways, school starts in 3 weeks.
odd, isn't it?
one of my favorite poets, shel silverstein, once wrote:
Here Comes Summer - Shel Silverstein
here comes summer,
here comes summer,
chirping robin, budding rose.
here comes summer,
here comes summer,
gentle showers, summer clothes.
here comes summer,
here comes summer-----
whoosh--shiver--there it goes.
but i'm more than ready to be back in school again.
what?
