thanksgiving this year was such a success! we had little appetizers just like grownups do & cooked a turkey from start to finish. we didn't even burn anything! (except nick had to do all the raw-turkey-touching.. i was gagging just looking at it.) we still don't have a table so we just set up our buffet on our desk & ate indian style on the floor. nick made southern corn cake and it was goooood. all day i kept waiting for something to go wrong, and it just didn't. i even got to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
hammers = 1
thanksgiving = 1
turkey = 1
it's a win-win-win situation. & it just can't get better than that.
Look at what a little wifey you are!! So impressed.
ReplyDeleteyou my dear are an amazing photographer. and i may just paint a chalkboard wall in our new apartment because of you.
ReplyDeleteoh and you're a boss- cooking a whole dinner and nothing going wrong. i cooked one sole dish and RUINED it. if our parents ever decide to quit doing thanksgiving dinners, we're coming to your house.
please do! that would be sweet. i hope you do a chalkboard wall, they're so fun!
DeleteI was also not down with raw turkey touching, but the eating was still the best. You look like you had a blast!
ReplyDeleteIf we cooked a turkey and it looked that good...I wouldn't want to share it with anyone, but my husband (I kid, I kid). Seriously, it looks straight out of a magazine.
ReplyDelete(I HATE touching raw poultry!)
SKILLS!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this.
I wish my apartment walls were as cool as yours.
These pictures are beautiful!!!!!!!! ahhh, swoon.
ReplyDeleteWow, both of you are amazing, How long did it took you to finish all of this in one day? Can I mix a holy basil herb which looks like this one http://organicindia.mercola.com/tulsi-tea.aspx on the pie or even in the turkey? Is it a good idea or not?
ReplyDeletewe started cooking at about 10:30am, and ate dinner around 4. so not too long! I'm sure a holy basil herb would be splendid :) however, we didn't make the pie we just bought it at Walmart.
