We threw the most beautiful bridal shower for my baby sister who's getting married in a week!
It was so fun. Her wedding theme is country, so we tried to stick to that as much as we could.
We had her greet and take photos with each of the guests and hang up the polaroids in a tree a part decoration/part momento.
Jenga pieces were set out so people could write date ideas on them as they snacked and chatted.
For food we had tiffany blue punch (lemonade + blue koolaid), chicken salad croissant sandwiches, strawberry cupcakes, lemon bars, and fresh fruit & trifle.
Fun story: I tried to make a naked cake to match the cupcakes. It was going to be beautiful. Except I didn't let the cakes cool enough before I stacked them, and my frosting wasn't thick enough to hold everything in place. It ended up crumbling to pieces before I could finish icing it. So we left the mess to the boys in the kitchen and a little while later they came out with tasty trifle in glasses! They saved the day, those boys.
our Aunt came all the way from Las Vegas to surprise her (and us!) at the shower.
It was a fun afternoon and we loved spoiling the bride-to-be. Next stop, wedding!

ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing that you're Megan's sister. I remember reading your blog for so long before piecing that together, and then I was like, "Duh, Emily". Hahahaha. She is too cute and so is this bridal shower!
