that time we graduated college

WE DID IT.

We graduated college!!!!!!!!!!

(allll the exclamation points!)

I'm going to toot my own horn, throw my own party & give myself a parade in this post because it was SO HARD and I DID IT.

Graduating college is one of the most wonderful things I've ever done. It's up there with getting married and having a baby, it meant that much to me.

Here's where I deliver my speech:

I'd like to thank all my friends, especially Chelsea and Jordan during my senior year, for being there for me, and my professors for helping me get through with a baby on my hip. Thank you especially to Jeff Hanson, who held my baby while he taught me about web design and helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my life, as well as Jay Merryweather for believing in me and allowing me to bring Beckham to class. I couldn't have done it without those two.

I'd also like to thank all my bosses for being boss, for making my jobs easy and making me feel like a million bucks.

I'd like to thank the mexican grill on campus for having taco specials - $1.30 for a two tacos, two days a week. Bless you.

Thanks to my parents for supporting me and telling me I could do it. I didn't believe them, but somehow I did.

And lastly, thank you to my amazing husband for being there for me 100% of the time, for running to the store for me when I forgot something, for taking care of the house, for rubbing my feet, for telling me I can do it, for being my sounding board, for making sure there was always ice cream and cookie dough in the fridge, for setting up play dates for me when I needed to get out of the house, for holding my hand and letting me cry on the terrible days and for celebrating with me by getting Waffle Love on the days that were awesome, and for all the things I can't remember but you know what you did--thank you for being so amazing!

I'm so excited-- WE'RE so excited for the future. Nick's officially a graduate student, and I officially never have to worry about my grades again for the REST OF MY LIFE.

Someday I will attend Yale University and finish my Masters, but that time is not now. One day when Nick is a famous architect and I've got babies off my hips we'll venture out to the East Coast. But for now, I'm just ready to take my degree and make awesome things.

(p.s. Tori over at the Doing Things Blog helped me make Beckham's cap and gown!)
